GEO will be in the exhibition hall at table 87, so please stop by to chat, and also meet two very special guests from our overseas centers: Amanda Milburn from GEO London (UK) and Silvia Perez of GEO Oviedo (Spain)! Curious about existing GEO programs or potential for faculty-led and customized programs in these locations? Set up a meeting with our London Director, Amanda (https://calendly.com/amanda-265/forumea-19) or the Oviedo Director, Silvia (https://calendly.com/geoviedo-silvia). You can also schedule a meeting with the Assistant Director of Institutional Relations, Lisa Calevi (https://calendly.com/calevi/geoforum2019) or Jane Thiele, the Senior Institutional Relations Representative (https://calendly.com/janegeomeetings/forum-meetings).
On March 28th, GEO is hosting an invite-only luncheon for a moderated discussion on international vs global programming at Earls Kitchen and Bar: Strategies for Approaching International and Global Programming in the Education Abroad Office. For more information, please see the article from last month’s newsletter here and be sure to RSVP soon so we can save you a spot at the table!
GEO is also hosting an after-party on the evening of March 28th at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox where Rob Sonic will perform! This hip hop artist first gained critical acclaim as the front man of the group Sonic Sum whose debut album won rave reviews in the US, Europe, and Japan. Join GEO from 8:30-11:30pm at this former brothel turned upscale gastropub and music venue (1215 20th Street, between Larimer and Lawrence). Stop by GEO’s table (#87) to get a sticker for access to the event that waives the cover charge and gets you a free drink, plus more! After the first fifty people, the cover charge will not be waived, but the GEO sticker will still get you a free drink, so please pass the word to any friends or colleagues who would still like to come later in the evening!
Safe travels and we can’t wait to see you at Forum!
