GEO Student’s Work Featured in Daily Emerald

This past summer, Rachel Benner attended GEO’s Journalism in London program at the GEO London Center. From the wide range of courses on aspects of journalism, she focused on British sports, arts and culture, and that developed into an in-depth look at an enduring local landmark on Marchmont Street in Bloomsbury: the “Gay’s The Word” bookshop.

While all students produce completed works to add to their portfolio, Ms. Benner’s article: “Gays the Word: Celebrating LGBTQ Identity and History All Year Long” got the additional honor of being published in the Daily Emerald as a Guest Column. Congratulations, Rachel!
