The girl behind the blog is a Nebraska born, but Oregon raised girl. Having lived here for the majority of my life, I have little to no recollection of the barren Nebraska lands I once called home.

Instead I have memories of majestic green trees, cool and serene coasts and of course the hustle and bustle of Portland, Oregon.

My name is Julia D. Smith and I am a junior at the University of Oregon, with a major in advertising and a minor in business administration. I have always loved the city of Portland, Oregon. From it’s quaint shops to multiple concerts and nail-biting Blazer games I’ve enjoyed it from the resident point-of-view.

However, with this class I was able to take a ‘deeper’ look into the elements that make Portland, Oregon a small part of the unique Pacific North West.
