The Willamette River's main stem lies entirely in Northwestern Oregon. This river, that flows from the Oregon Coast Range and the Cascade Range, it along with it's tributaries from the Willamette Valley. (A basin that not only includes the capital of Salem but also Portland, Oregon's largest city.) The mouth of the Willamette at the Columbia is surrounded by the City of Roses.
