How does Russia’s war on Ukraine effect Indonesia?

Since Russian troops began the invasion on Ukraine, many other countries have been affected including Indonesia. Also known as the “granary of Europe” Ukraine supported many countries with their productions of grain. Indonesia, for example, buys a large portion of imported wheat and grains from Ukraine. As a result the country was in a shortage of wheat and even more noticed was the shortage of Indomie noodles. These noodles are one of Indonesia’s staple foods. The war cut back on the resources and Indonesia was affected greatly. In addition, Indonesia faced cooking oil shortages as a result of the war. These       shortages ultimately cause many everyday issues in the life of Indonesians. It’s important to think about how conflicts in other places may effect other countries or even yourself.
