Summary

DATES: May 18-19, 2019 (2 days)
LOCATION: University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon USA
CHAIR: Mike Pluth, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR:
The American Gasotransmitter Symposium was initially established and organized by Prof. Binghe Wang, with the inaugural meeting held in Atlanta, GA in 2017. The second installment of this symposium, to be held in Eugene, OR in 2019, will focus on the development and biological application of chemical tools for NO, CO, H2S, and other small gaseous signaling molecules. All scientists working at the interface of NO, CO, H2S and related molecules (broadly defined) are welcome.
The goal of this symposium is to highlight key opportunities and challenges related to the design and biological application of chemical tools for these reactive molecules. Cross-disciplinary innovations and collaborations have been a cornerstone of many major advancements in this field and have highlighted the interconnectivity of these important molecules. I hope this symposium will help to foster the growth at the interface of these important signaling molecules, as well as cultivate new connections and collaborations for participants.
