The City of Eugene’s Parks and Open Space (POS) improves parks through the renovation of existing parks and trails. Focus lies on the development of new parks, trails, recreation, and gathering spaces for the surrounding community, targeting safety improvements and greater accessibility for community needs.
POS is governed under the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene.
POS projects are funded through bonds/levies voted in by the public and through partnerships with organizations like The U.S. Bureau of Land Management, The Nature Conservancy, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Eugene Parks Foundation, and others.
