My first tattoo was interesting, to say the rsz_no-ragrets-1least. I am a music promoter, and I was on tour with some artists I promoted for when I was 16. I was in the town of Boise, Idaho for a concert, and was staying in a pretty nice hotel with the artists. I felt on top of the world, considering I was 16 years old. There were some roadies for another group that was performing on the tour staying down the hall from us, and they thought that it was the coolest thing in the world that a 16 year old was touring with artists and helping out on the tour. My friend was also with me on the tour, and thought it was the coolest thing in the world that these adult roadies thought that we were cool, I could’ve cared less. Anyways, after the concert the roadies down the hall invited my peer and I over to their room for some festivities. Fun ensued, and pretty soon a thirty year old male named ‘Hippie’ busted out a tattoo kit. This was not a small tattoo kit either, this guy had a tattoo shop with him pretty much. He liked me so much, that he offered to give me my first tattoo. I don’t want to get into what I got for my first tattoo, because I was 16 and I let my peer that was with me pressure me into it, but I decided that I needed to get it covered up within six months of having it on my skin. I ended up getting work done on the spot five more times to cover it up, and this is what it looks like now. You might be able to tell what it’s covering up if you look closely, but hey, I was a dumb 16 year old, like most are. 16 year olds shouldn’t be in hotel rooms in the wee hours of the morning with 30 year old roadies who are willing to give tattoos to kids. The tattoo reads “TL 503.” It stands for TL Promotions and Records 503, which is the music promotion group I am involved with, even to this day. A lot of other people involved in it have their own tattoos as well, but theirs tend to be a little bit more extreme then what I have. This tattoo is positioned on my left shoulder.  -3
