Movie format 8-10 minutes and drawings uploaded to WordPress category “08 Part 2 Review.” You may use the Miro if you like.

Below is the outline to follow. Please talk with me Wednesday or via email there after if you want to proposed variations.

1) GIS VIZ TOOL as synthesis

  • Conceptual footage / movies
  • Name Project – project narrative – most important quality (Social and Nature).
  • Design Intent – project goals (2-3) Example is Phenomena, Climate, Structure, Place making, etc.
  • conceptual images
  • Idea, sub-idea, qualities and indicators chart (with conceptual images and or icons)
  • Infographics and other contextual data (and other material from Part I) – GOALS are clear by here

/

  • Location, campus and site plans
  • Composite aerial view (perspective, 15mm camera)

/

  • Human Scale!! Each person should present their work from the small scale upward: 1) Urban Design; 2) Urban Envelope; and 3) Urban Architecture (interior) This includes programming analysis. + integrate qualitative catalog study (Holl method)  (section drawings for everyone, zoomed in to 1″ = 1′-0″)

2.1) STRUCTURE

  • CLT and other structural principles (Stephen’s comments)  [ex. Christian]
  • Structural descriptive narrative
  • Building organization via circulation horizontal and vertical – Axon
  • Architectural plans and sections AND structural backgrounds as S drawings. (Focus on big moves and organization)
    • You want to include other project info from the urban tool, facade and other important drawings to you .

2.2) Parti Models

  • Massing / parti models at 1/16th inch. Show all! Indicate one or two to proceed.
  • This suggests working through the massing and spatial organization, programming and design to external site conditions (3d parti axon or perspective). You should be primarily focused on how your 1) campus/urban site design, 2) campus/urban envelope and 3) campus/urban architecture are designed for human experience of the qualities you are studying through the unit example (outdoor space, facade unit module, location in building).
  • conceptual plans based on filtered qualities

3) ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS – Ladybug

  • Data visualizations via Ladybug tool – identifying the timeline and key seasons or times.
  • Take-away points as findings
  • end the presentation with a conceptual idea of qualities at the 3 scales outside, at the envelope and inside the building and a general 3D parti.
