For this presentation I was in charge of doing research about food stores like (Walmart, Fred Meyer, Market of Choice, etc.) as well as farmers markets.  My goal was to compare and contrast the differences between these two different ways of displaying food to consumers. After doing this assignment I have really learned more about what is in my food and where I should go to purchase it. It has been eye opening realizing the amount of pesticides that go into the food that we all eat and the difference between that and organic food. This has helped me learn more about the food I eat and the tricks that big food companies do to make their food look more desirable to the public. I have began to steer away from the food that has these pesticides in them and go more towards organic, healthy food. Although it is more expensive in the end it is a much better choice because of how good it is for you and because it tastes much fresher. I also have started to shop at the local farmers market for my fruits and vegetables more which is a good way to support your community.
