Project Portfolio Description
Agape Families works closely with families and youth that have been affected by incarceration. The goal of Agape Families is to give hope and stability through their services. They provide youth with summer camps, mentorship programs, and other events. The camp and mentorship program targets youth ages 7-17, but they also hold events for the whole family to attend. A mentor and resource was created to help recruit mentors and reduce the mentor waiting list. The mentor and resource guides will assist Agape’s staff with their mentor onboarding process, as well as inform potential mentors. With these guides, potential mentors learn about the time commitment and responsibilities of becoming an Agape Mentor. The mentor program has played a large role in fulfilling Agape’s goals. Due to the large involvement, it can be anticipated that the mentor program will continue to be used for several years. Considering the mentor program will develop, this project was made on an Agape template. It is adaptable and easy to edit as the mentoring program grows and improves.
