Ophelia’s Place

Project Portfolio Description

Ophelia’s Place is a girl empowerment and support organization that works to provide all girl-identified youth a space where they can feel comfortable and supported. Ophelia’s Place provides services, in Eugene and surrounding communities, to girls between the ages of 10 to 18. Their overall mission is to create an environment where girls feel included, safe, empowered, and supported. Especially those who are marginalized by experiences of oppression. This project is created to provide community resources, through a resource guide, to teenage mothers, and their loved ones, who seek support and guidance from Ophelia’s Place.

In addition, this project will assist staff when they provide services to young moms and it will guide them to people and places of support. It can also potentially establish partnerships with other organizations in the community. The basis of this project is to empower mothers by supporting their needs and autonomy. Ophelia’s Place can easily update the guide every year. Each resource includes contact information like a phone number or email, the address, and a short description of what the services or programs offer. This is simple information that almost anyone can find. This resource goes hand in hand with Ophelia’s place mission.
