Child and Family Center

Project Portfolio Description

The Child and Family Center provides low-cost assessment, prevention, and intervention services for children ages 2-17 and their families. The CFC uses a centered approach to promote mental health and resilience. Childhood is a critical period for social-emotional skill development and behavioral regulation. Without intervention, untreated mental health issues in children can have adverse effects as adolescents and into adulthood. Families need increased access to information about early intervention resources to support their health and well-being. This project is a revised and updated website for the Child and Family Center that will increase accessibility to children’s mental health and family management services.

This project increased accessibility to children’s mental health and family management services because it supports the CFC’s ability to connect with clients and market their available services. Future FHS interns will benefit from the new “Internships” and future clients can benefit from updated information as well as the new “FAQ” and “Resources” pages. This project will be accessible in the future by anyone with Internet access and will be applicable for many years. It will remain a sustainable resource for the CFC because future staff and interns can access the project to implement updates as needed.
