Ophelia’s Place

Project Portfolio Description

Ophelia’s Place is a prevention-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping girls ages 10-18 make healthy life choices through empowerment, education, and support. They provide services to all female-identified youth, which include an after school drop-in space (when life is not virtual); after and out of school programs such as clubs, classes, and one-time events, psycho-educational groups that are school and out of school-based; summer programs; and strength-based therapy services. These services are in place to assure their mission of ensuring all girls in the community feel safe, valued, and empowered and are designed to create an inclusive space for all female-identified youth, including girls whom experiences of oppression have been marginalized.

My project’s intent is to create a training that will address the needs of girls with ADHD that have been experiencing hardships through online school/services. The training will provide the necessary tools for staff/interns at Ophelia’s Place to implement supports, into the existing curriculum, for girls with ADHD that they can utilize virtually and in person.
