Project Portfolio Description

The mission statement of the Eugene Mission is to provide guests with shelter and food through a christian based faith non profit organization. The objective is to assist in providing long term solutions of wellness for the guests who are currently experiencing homlessness within the Eugene and Springfield area. The Eugene Mission implements a R3 program that focuses on rescue, revitalizing, and restoring, including classes focusing on the areas of wellness. For the following senior project it will consist of the creation of an additional class to the R3 program on the topic of “Self Awareness:How do we cultivate it?”. The results included a permanent addition to the program that assisted guests in cultivating different methods of personal self awareness as well as emotional regulation techniques. In regards to future use and sustainability of the project, the information and presentation will be implemented into the R3 program and have the ability to be utilized for future guests that check into the Eugene Mission, the set information and activities can either be used for a future staff or volunteer member to expand or cover the topic of self awareness.
