Project Portfolio Description

90by30 is a campus-community partnership whose mission is to reduce child abuse in the Lane County community. More specifically, their main goal is to reduce child abuse by at least 90% by the year 2030. 90by30’s plan is to do this through community-led strategies and programs throughout the county. Each of these programs and strategies works to strengthen one or more of the Protective Factors that nurture children to grow up in safe, happy, and healthy environments. Students Against Child Abuse (SACA) is a student lead group in collaboration with 90by30 that encourages student involvement to help 90by30 meet their goals while also advocating for students to help spread awareness about child abuse prevention.

The purpose of this project is to create a manual that ensures the future success of SACA. Although this project was made for future use, it has already shown an increase in student involvement and has ensured that the group has been staying on track with an organized structure. This manual was originally created for when the current members leave so that the future members will have a clear idea and clear instructions on how to run the group as well as being clear on the purpose of the student group. It will mainly benefit the future students and interns that take over the group once the current members leave by helping 90by30 reach their goal of reducing the rates of child abuse in Lane County.
