Parenting Now! is a facility that provides accessible parenting classes to a variety of populations. The facility also works with other organizations that help families within the community like the Healthy Families program. One of the many great things about the classes at Parenting Now! is that they provide free childcare while parents are participating in groups. We call this initiative the Children’s Program. This is a huge part of making the classes as easily accessible as possible: families do not have to find and pay for childcare. Providing care means that there needs to be staff present to look after the children during this time and certain ratios of caregivers (employees, interns, and volunteers) to children must be met. My senior project will help to connect members throughout the agency by providing an online resource for information about classes and the staff involved with them. This accomplishes two major goals: connecting personnel with one another (i.e., interns and paid staff) and ensuring that the Children’s Program has an adequate number of individuals for each group.  In order to maintain the usefulness of this website as a resource, it will need to be updated regularly so that the information matches up with the classes being offered.
