My stepdad’s cabin is a really awesome place to spend weekends all year round. In winter, there is sledding, skiing, snowshoeing, and general snow fun. In summer, there’s hiking, fishing, swimming, and motorcycle riding, to name a few activities. I would say my favorite time of year to go there is in the winter. Besides snow sports, I also really like the feeling of having a warm fire going in the evening and drinking hot chocolate while looking out the big window at the snow. Perhaps the best part about going to the cabin, in any season, is looking out at the night sky from the street. There is no light pollution, which allows you to see many more stars.
