When we were in Asiago, it was pouring rain, so we were not able to go on the hike that we had originally planned on, so instead we went to a memorial for the soldiers that had lost their life in the war.  We also saw some cemeteries where soldiers were buried, and we walked through some more trenches.  Seeing all of the names of the soldiers who had died really put in perspective the harsh reality of war, and walking through the tunnels allowed us to imagine what they went through when they were fighting and the hardships that they would have faced on a daily basis.
