Hi! My name is Lili Azen. I’m entering my third year at UO. One of my favorite places is in my hometown, Sacramento, CA. There’s truly not much to do where I’m from, so I’ve spent a lot of time exploring the American River trail and surrounding areas.
Some of my best memories are walking along the trail with my doggos and family. Meet Strudels and Maple Syrup! My absolute favorite time is in the fall and spring when all of the flowers are in bloom. Plus during this time, we have the most rainfall so everything is lush and green! I love the familiarity of returning to my special secret spots as well as finding new paths each time I go.
The river has a bunch of other fun summer activities like white water rafting, which I love to do every summer with friends! There’s also a ton of exploration to see in its surrounding areas. So if you ever end up near Sacramento, you should totally come visit the American River!!
