My name is Grace Kowalski, and I am going to be a senior at the University of Oregon. I love spending time in the outdoors whether it be hiking, biking, camping, the list goes on. While living in Eugene I’ve had the chance to explore a lot of really cool places.
One of my favorite places in Eugene is Washburne Park because it’s just a short walk from my house. When it’s warm out it’s a great place to have picnics, read books, play frisbee, and get your daily dose of sunshine. This summer I’ve been going with some friends to read, crochet, and hang out. It’s a lovely way to spend my day, especially if I want to be outside.
Prince Puckler’s is just around the corner, so I often grab a scoop of ice cream and enjoy it outside at the park. There’s always someone playing with their dog (or the occasional cat), so I love getting some pet love while I’m there.
So grab your blanket, a good book, and good company and head over to Washburne Park for some summer fun! You won’t be disappointed.
