Visiting the Messner Mountain Museum really stood out to me because we were able to see several different ways in which mountains hold significance to people, all in one Museum. For example, we were able to see the religious side of this, with a whole room dedicated to Bhuda statues. Mountains were important to religion because being at higher elevations was a way in which people could feel closer to God. For other people, mountains are important as something to climb or conquer, which we were able to learn about in a room dedicated to mountaineering. There was also a geology exibit in which we could see crystals and geodes.
