I am choosing the Bletterbach ask my important place because it is one of the things I have enjoyed most so far. There is so much going on around you, yet not a lot at all. You have millions of years of history, and the story and lifecycle of the landscape around you, the feeling is undescribable. Not only are you surrounded by millions of rocks, but there is the flowing river that goes through the entire gorge. The sound is so calming, and is a consistent peaceful background noise. The air is clean, and there is no other noise besides some chatter of those around you, the movement of rocks from people stepping on them, and the flowing river. The inhabitants of this place are many creatures, from large to microscopic, as well as the fossils imprinted into so many of the rocks from millions of years ago that tell their own story. This place was incredible to be in and brought true peace to me when I was there.

The view from the gorge where we ate lunch was peaceful and still, yet had so many stories of its own that we will never even know.

The river that flowed through the whole gorge was small yet mighty, and created a wonderful noise for the entirety of our journey that day.

The rock pile that my team and I made to show the layers of rock that I hope will stand for a very long time.
