September 12th, 2024 was an extremely sluggish day for me, as all of the sleep deprivation that had built up throughout the trip finally caught up to me. Although throughout most of the first half of the day all I wanted to do was go to sleep, our activities got me through the day. Our first stop was the museum in Asiago, where I enjoyed the enthusiasm and demonstrations from our guide. There was one exhibit in particular that caught my eye, which was a 3D model of some town during a time of war. If I am being honest, I was far too exhausted to pay attention to or find out what place this model was depicting, but I found myself examining the model and appreciating the intricacy of it.

These were some cool close up pictures I got of the model. I appreciated the insane detail of it, and I used to be a huge LEGOs fan when I was little, so this was fascinating (and much more complicated than any LEGO set that’s ever existed). I probably spent at least five minutes walking around this thing just looking at the different sections of it – it woke my exhausted mind up.

The cemetery we visited was one of the cooler cemeteries I’ve visited in my life, just based off aesthetics and the way it fit into the landscape. I enjoyed the Italian and Austrian one, but I mostly enjoyed the British one (which I’ve included a photo of). That was just how my eye saw it. I thought the area had a very wonderful and peaceful ambiance.

Putipu Pizzeria

Brigham, Natalie, Cora and I had a wonderful end to our day at Putipu Pizzeria after we had arrived in Rovereto. It might’ve been the best pizza I’ve ever had – I ordered a white pizza with sausage and baked potatoes on it. The generous amount of olive oil on the pizza was amazing.
