Hello! I am Noreen Hussain and for my place, I chose Mt. Hood and my late Grandmother’s house. This place is very special to me as I came here growing up all the time and even learned to ski on this mountain. Coming to this house and going skiing with my family holds a special place in my heart and every time I go back I get the biggest feeling of nostalgia.

This year, I brought four of my friends to join me at the house for a long weekend and we went skiing all together. It was an amazing experience being able to share my happy place with my friends and I hope to make it a yearly experience.

As soon as we had to pick a meaningful place to us it was an easy decision to choose this one. I am blessed to still have my grandmothers house even after she has passed and if she were to still be here, I know she would be ecstatic to see so many people coming to visit her and her house to go skiing and enjoy a staycation.

This is me close to the peak of Mt. Hood happy as ever because I’m skiing with my friends!
