When we were in Lavarone, my favorite activity that we did was go to a farm to make cheese.  First, when we got up to the farm, we saw goats, which was really exciting.  Then we saw all the cows, including Lorena, who was due to give birth that day (unfortunately we missed it but were able to see pictures of her baby afterwards).  We learned about the process through which they raise the cows, get milk from them, and make cheese.  This was a lot more humane of a process than what I have seen in other places, so I felt good knowing that this was the farm from the town was getting its dairy products.
