What to do:

1) Purchase advance ticket: cost $12. Buy ticket here . Ticket includes entrance, souvenir glass, 2 beer tastings. Additional tastings are $1 each.

2) Let us know that you are coming so that we can go all together. Put your name on the list here.

The ticket at the door is $15.

When: meet by the DuckStore at 7pm to take the public bus at 7:15. Event time: until 11pm – you can go and return anytime. The explOregon group will plan to be back by 10:30pm.

What to Bring:  cash/credit card, driver license/passport to prove you are at least 21 years old., UO ID to ride the bus for free. Bring a friend or two!

Feb. 6th, 2016 – Silver Falls Hiking & BBQ


Hey hey, so due to weather constraints we will be postponing the Silver Falls trip to Saturday February 6th (one week from the 30th)

People call it the “crown jewel” of the Oregon, and once you visit, you know why. Join explOregon as we go visit this beautiful place, do some moderate hiking, take lots of photos of the beautiful scenery and end it all with a delicious barbecue!

When: meet on Saturday, February 6, at 8:15am in front of the REC Center. Bus will leave at 8:30. We plan to return to the REC Center at 5:30pm

What to bring: Warm clothes, hiking boots, rain jacket, thick socks, cold weather gear and any appropriate gear for long nature walks, drinks and snacks, backpack or phone/camera.

Jan. 23rd, 2016 – ChocolateFest in Portland

Come to ChocolateFest in Portland this Saturday for a day of shopping, sightseeing and most importantly chocolate.  ChocolateFest is the perfect excuse to sample, taste, savor, and delight in some of the finest chocolate and wine from the Northwest and beyond! Join us in Portland to hang out in the city for some shopping and chocolate delights!

When: meet on Saturday, January 23, at 8:15am in front of the REC Center. Bus will leave at 8:30am. We will first go to the ChocolateFest, then in the afternoon you are free to follow us to explore downtown Portland (Pioneer Square, Saturday Market, Food Carts etc.) or to Lloyd Center, or explore the city on your own. We plan to return to the REC Center at 8:00pm.

What to bring: Warm clothes, drinks and snacks for the bus trip, cash/money for food and souvenirs.

Jan. 22nd, 2016 – Hockey night!


Come cheer for the most exciting sports team on ice! Our Ducks Ice Hockey team will be taking on their PAC-8 rivals the University of Washington Huskys on January 22nd.  Grab your foam fingers, UO gear and excitement for competition and join explOregon at the Lane Events Center to watch the Ducks battle against our rivals from the north!

When: Please meet at the UO Duck Store at 6:05pm and be prepared to leave at 6:12pm by public bus and arrive at the Lane County Ice Rink at 6:40pm. The match starts at 7:00pm and we will leave from the rink at 9:30pm arriving back at campus around 10:00pm.

Jan. 18th, 2016 – MLK Day of Service

MLK (High)Make this MLK Day a Day ON! Since 1994 MLK Day has been marked as a national day of community service. The Holden Center and explOregon will be hosting a community action day in celebration and honor of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Partnering with over ten local community organizations, service projects will be held throughout the day and take place all over the Eugene-Springfield area.  ExplOregon is excited to be working with the Eugene Mission Wellness Center for the Homeless in their effort to stop homelessness in our community.  Help us do our part by spending your MLK Day serving those in need.

When (UPDATED): meet at the Holden Center (1228 University of Oregon) at 12:05pm on Monday, Jan. 18th.  After check in we will leave campus by private van at 12:45pm. If you miss the van, you can meet us at the Mission Exchange located at 1542 W. 1st Ave. by 1:00pm.

Event Details: Volunteers will be sorting and organizing household goods and clothing for those living at the center.  Sorting will go from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. We will return to campus at approximately 4:15pm.

What to Bring: Comfortable clothes, Water bottle or a Snack.

Jan. 9th, 2016 – Ice Skating!


Winter time means fun winter activities! Join us as we go ice skating in downtown Eugene at the Rink Exchange. All levels are very welcome!!!

Cost: $5.00 with UO ID (tell your friends to join! if we have at least 21 people going, we can get 20% discount) + $2.00 for skates rental  

When: meet in front of the Duckstore (Kincaid and E 13th) at 11:00am on Saturday, January 9 . The public bus will leave at 11:06am. If you miss the bus, just meet us at the Rink Exchange at 796 W. 13th Ave.

Event time: free skating from 12:15pm to 1:45pm. Return to the Duckstore at approximately 2:45pm.

What to Bring: Bring comfortable winter clothes. Bring helmet or other safety devices if you need it. Money for food or drink (it’s not OK to bring your own).
