Sahalie Falls and Belknap Hot Springs

Tired of shivering from all of this cold weather? Warm up with us at the Belknap Hot Springs. We will be taking a day away from campus and enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the Oregon Cascades. First a short hike to Sahalie Falls and then a relaxing dip in to the natural pools at Belknap Hot Springs. Even better…this trip is FREE!

COST: 

International/Domestic/Exchange Students – FREE

Non-students and Scholars – $20

NOTE: If you would like to use the hot springs, day use charges apply.

$8.00 for one hour or less (Shower and Bathroom Facilities)
$15.00 per day per person. $2.00 pool towel available.

SCHEDULE: We will meet at the University of Oregon’s Student Recreation Center (Rec Center) at 9:45am, and leave for Sahalie Falls at 10am. After spending some time at the falls, we will go for lunch (location TBD), and then head to Belknap Hot Springs, Lodge and Garden. You are free to use the hot springs or rest up in the lounge. We will leave the hot springs around 4pm, and arrive back at the REC center by 6pm.

In the event of bad weather, we will be going to Belknap Hot Springs, Lodge and Garden, having lunch, and heading back to the REC center at about 2pm.

THINGS TO BRING: Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the hike. Bring water, and money for food. If you would like to use the hot springs please bring extra money, appropriate swimwear, a towel and an extra set of clothes.

1. Disclosure Clause: Please be advised that all participants need to follow dress code, explOregon staff instructions, and explOregon protocol. Failure to comply may result in participants being asked to leave and/or barred from future trips at the discretion of explOregon staff.
2. During the trip, explOregon staff will instruct all participants to fill out a liability waiver and photo release form. All forms must be completed accurately and returned to the explOregon staff before the end of the event.
