Let’s go to Portland to watch the Timbers take on the Vancouver Whitecaps for an afternoon of world-famous MLS Soccer. Join us as we cheer on the Timbers as they make a push to repeat their championship run.
WHEN: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22ND, 2017
SCHEDULE: Please meet in front of the REC Center at 8:45am, departure at 9:00am, we should arrive in downtown Portland by 11:00am. Game starts at 1:00pm so we will have a couple of hours to explore the Portland area, grab a bite to eat and then make our way to the stadium. The game should last about 2 hours and we will be returning to campus by 6/6:30pm.
WHAT TO BRING: comfortable clothes – Bring money for any food, souvenirs, and any other things you wish to buy.
Come with explOregon and spend an afternoon finding the perfect Halloween pumpkin, enjoying good food and ice cream as we take a traditional American tradition. We will be visiting the Lone Pine Farms pumpkin patch. Stick around after the trip to the pumpkin patch and join us in the Craft Center to carve the pumpkin’s we picked out!
SCHEDULE: Please meet in front of the REC Center by 10:45am so that the bus can leave at 11:00am. We will arrive at Lone Pine Farms around 11:30am and enjoy the pumpkin patch for approximately 2-2.5 hours. We will leave around 1:45pm and should be back to campus by 2:30pm. Pumpkin carving in the Craft Center from 2:30 – 4:00.
WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable clothes and shoes, phone/camera for pictures, money for any food, pumpkins, or anything else you wish to purchase.
Come explore with us two important sites of Eugene: Skinner Butte and 5th Street Market! Skinner Butte trail is an easy hike to the top and can be hiked in 30mins to 60mins round trip. It is the perfect spot for a scenic view of the valley and downtown Eugene. Then after the hike come with us to visit a few local shops and grab a bite to eat in the 5th Street market district. So join us Wednesday morning for an adventure to a few of Eugene’s favorite spots.

SCHEDULE: Meet in front of the Duck Store (corner of Kincaid and E 13th Ave) by 4:10 and we will take the public bus to Skinner Butte Park at 4:20pm arriving at the park by 4:40pm. The hike should take between 30-60 minutes to finish round trip. After we finish the hike we will walk over to the 5th Street Market to explore some of the shops and grab a bite to eat. The group will make it back to campus by 12:30pm but of course, you may leave the trip anytime you wish.
WHAT TO BRING: Bring comfortable shoes, water, a camera, telescope, binoculars, money for food, souvenirs, and any other things you wish to buy.
SATURDAY – OCTOBER 14TH 2017 – SEA LIFE CRUISE & OREGON COAST AQUARIUM
Join us for an afternoon of cruising the sea AND a trip to the Aquarium in Newport, Oregon. We will be joined by a team of friendly naturalist guides, who provide a fun and exciting 2-hour sea life cruise that focus on Oregon wildlife aboard the deluxe 65ft cruise ship called the “Discovery”. After that we will head to the Oregon Coast Aquarium just a few blocks down the road to see even more sea creatures. So join us on Saturday October 14th.
SCHEDULE: Please meet in front of the REC Center at 9:00am. We will leave from campus at 9:15am and arrive at The Marine Discovery Tours in Newport, Oregon around 11:15am. We will then embark on a 2-hour sea life cruise ending around 1:30pm. We will then make our way to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, which is located nearby where we can eat lunch and tour the aquarium from 2:00pm to 4:30pm. We will return to the REC Center by 6:30 pm.

SUNDAY – OCTOBER 8TH 2017- DUCKS VS. WASHINGTON STATE
Come spend your Sunday evening with the ExplOregon crew as we head out to support our women’s soccer team as they take on Washington State. Wear your duck gear and get ready to cheer on our world class athletes during this fun event!
Schedule: Please meet in front of the EMU by 3:30pm. We will then begin our walk over to Pape Field around 3:40. We should arrive at the field by just before 4:00pm. The game starts at about 4:00pm and will end around 5:45pm. We will return to campus by 6:15 but you may leave the game any time you wish.
What to bring: school spirit, comfortable clothes, money for any food, souvenirs, and any other things you wish to buy.
SCHEDULE: Please meet in front of the REC Center at 3:45, we will depart from campus at 4:00 PM. We should arrive Spencer Butte between 4:15 – 4:20, ascend on our hike at 4:30. This hike is relatively easy and should take our group around 1 hour to get to the top. Once at the top we’ll have a bit of time to relax, enjoy the view, take some pictures, and make it back to the bottom by 6:00- 6:15 and then make it back to campus around 6:30.
WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes, water bottle, food/snack, phone/camera for pictures.
SATURDAY- SEPTEMBER 30TH 2017 –DUCKS VS. CAL.GOLDEN BEARS
Join the ExplOregon crew as we head to the Autzen Stadium to cheer along our Ducks Football team as they play against the California Golden Bears. It is free to everyone with a UO I.D. card, students must claim their ticket during scheduled distribution date and time based on class standing.
*** PLEASE remember, you DO NOT need to print a ticket, this is just a sign up for people who would like to join ExplOregon at the Ducks Football game.
WHEN: Saturday, September 30th
SCHEDULE: Meet in front of Lillis Hall by (TBD). We will meet up and walk to the Autzen Stadium together. Game starts at (TBD)and ends around (TBD). After the game, whoever would like to join the group to grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant is welcome do so!

SCHEDULE: Please meet in front of Rec Center at 8:30am on Friday, September 22nd. The bus will leave at 8:45am and arrive at the McKenzie river location around 10:00am. After a short safety talk we will suit up and hit the water. There will be a short lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. After lunch we will set back out on the water, with the river ride ending about 2 hours later around 3-3:30pm. When all is said and done we should be back to campus by 4:30pm.
WHAT TO BRING: Please pack lightly as you will not need much on the trip. We discourage you from bringing expensive camera or other expensive valuables that may be damaged if wet. A few dry bags for wallets, rings, phones and watches will be available but please bring as little as possible. Please bring your own water bottle (we will also have water if needed). Do not wear jeans and regular shoes as they can become VERY VERY COLD when wet. It is best to wear nylon tops/jackets and bottoms. Sandals or river shoes are best for your feet. A change of clothes left on the bus for you when we end the trip is probably a good idea.

With finals and exams just around the corner, we at ExplOregon think you deserve a bit of fun and relaxation. So join us on Saturday March 18th as we head to Strike City for the last event of the Winter term! So get your shoes, grab your balls and get your bowl on!
Schedule: We will meet at McKenzie Hall by 6:05pm to take the Emx from Dad’s Gate Station to Strike City lanes located here in town.We should arrival at the bowling alley around 6:50pm so that we can start bowling around 7:00pm. The lanes are on a first come first serve basis so there might be a wait time. After a few hours of bowling we will head back to campus by 9:15pm and should make it back to campus around 10:00pm.
