SCHEDULE: Meet in front of the Rec Center by 5:45PM, We will be leaving campus at 6PM and arrive at Defy Eugene by 6:30 PM. We will begin jumping at 7PM after a short brief. We will end our session at 8PM and head back to the Rec Center.

What to Bring: Wear comfortable clothes that allow for full motion.

Blue Pool Hike

Saturday, May 4

Have you ever seen water so clear it looks like glass? Or water so blue it’s hard to believe? By hiking to the Tamolitch Blue Pool, you will get to experience sights of both! Join us on Saturday, May 4 as we hike to this breathtaking sight and take in its unrealistic beauty.

COST:

Domestic/International/Exchange Students – $5

Non-students and Scholars – $15

SCHEDULE: Please meet in front of the REC Center by 8:45am. We will leave campus at 9am and head for the Tamolitch Blue Pool by van. We should arrive at the Blue Pool trailhead by 10:30am.  After our hike we will have a lunch break before heading back to Eugene. We will arrive on campus around 4pm.

What to Bring: Water proof jacket, hat and warm/comfortable clothes, hiking boots – or a sturdy pair of shoes, comfortable socks, cold weather gear and any appropriate gear for long nature walks. Bring your own drinks and snacks, a light backpack or fanny pack to hold personal items such as: phone, camera or wallet, and money for lunch.

Woodburn Tulip Festival & Shopping

Sunday, April 14

Join us at this year’s Tulip Festival where you can stroll through 40 acres of stunningly, beautiful flowers, and witness expansive views of vineyards and distant mountains. We will spend the afternoon shopping at the Woodburn Outlet Mall, one of the top shopping locations in Oregon and Washington!

COST:

Domestic, International, Exchange Students – $12

Non-Students and Scholars – $20

SCHEDULE: Please meet in front of the REC Center at 8:30 AM, we will depart from campus at 9:00 AM and arrive at the Tulip Festival in Woodburn around 10:30 AM. After a few hours of taking in the beautiful scenery, we will then make our way to the Woodburn Premium Outlets at 12:30 for lunch and a few hours of shopping. We will be leaving the outlets around 4:00 PM and should make it back to campus between 5:30 -6:00 PM.

WHAT TO BRING: comfortable clothes, money for shopping, food, souvenirs, or anything else you wish to purchase, and a camera or phone for pictures

SCHEDULE: Meet in front of the REC Center before 4 PM. The vans will be leaving campus at 4:15 PM and will arrive to the Moda Center at approximately 6 PM. The game will start at 7:30 PM and end around 9:30 PM. After the game, we will get a chance to go down to the court and shoot some free throws. We will return to the REC Center around 12 AM.

NOTE: After game free throws is a exclusive chance to go down to the court and shoot some hoops at the end of the game. If you ever wondered what it felt like to play on a NBA court, here is your chance!

WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable clothes, money for food, souvenirs, and any other items you wish to purchase. Please try not to bring any bags with you as they will be subjected to searches at the Moda Center, and you may be required to check them into a locker.

Ice Skating

Saturday, February 23

When in doubt, skate it out! Glide into the day with us on Saturday, 2/23 for a fun afternoon of ice skating at The Rink Exchange. Beginner or expert, we’ll guarantee you’ll have an ice day! 😉

COST:

International/Domestic/Exchange Students – FREE!

Non-students and Scholars – $5

NOTE: Ticket prices DOES NOT include The Rink Exchange admission ticket and equipment rental. Admission tickets for students are $6 and equipment rental is an additional $3. You can find out more here.

SCHEDULE: Meet in front of the REC Center by 11:15 AM. We will be leaving campus at 11:30 AM and arrive at The Rink Exchange around noon. Our allotted skate time is from 12:15- 1:45 PM. We will depart the rink around 2:00 PM and make it back to campus at 2:30 PM.

What to Bring: Wear comfortable warm clothes. Bring helmet or other safety devices if you need it. Money for food or drinks (it’s not OK to bring your own).

Snow Day

Saturday, February 16

Are you ready to hit the slopes? Join ExplOregon as we make our way to Mt. Bachelor where you can enjoy your choice of snow activities: skiing, snowboarding, tubing or playing in the snow!

COST: International/Domestic/Exchange Student – $5

Non-students and Scholars – $20

NOTE: Lift tickets, rental of equipment, and lessons are NOT included in ticket prices. Click HERE for lift ticket pricing, click HERE for equipment rental rates, and click HERE for lesson pricing. Alternatively, you may want to visit Berg’s Ski Shop or UO’s Outdoor Program Rental Barn for equipment rental.

SCHEDULE: We will meet at the University of Oregon’s Student Recreation Center (Rec Center) at 5:30am, and leave for Mt. Bachelor at 5:45am, and arrive at approximately 8:30am. You will be free to rent equipment and enjoy available activities until 4pm. Rented equipment have to be returned by 4:00pm.We will leave Mt. Bachelor at 4:15pm, and arrived back at the Rec Center at around 7pm.

THINGS TO BRING: Please wear comfortable clothes and bring along waterproof clothes appropriate for snow activities. Bring money for the lift ticket, rental of equipment, lessons, food and water, and any other items you may wish to purchase.

Oregon Zoo

Join ExplOregon Sunday, February 3rd as we head up to Portland for the Oregon Zoo. The Oregon Zoo is a Portland gem and a must see for any animal lover. It is also an active advocate in protecting wildlife around the world. Sign up today and don’t forget to tell yours friends!

SCHEDULE: Meet in front of the REC Center by 9:30 AM, the vans will be leaving campus at 10. We will arrive at the Zoo by 12:00 PM and will have approximately three hours at the zoo to check out all of the animal exhibits. We will head back to Eugene around 4:00 PM and arrive at campus around 6:00 PM.

WHAT TO BRING: Make sure to dress warm as we will be walking outside for majority of the trip, money for food and souvenirs, camera/phone to take pictures.

Many call Silver Falls the “crown jewel” of the Oregon, and once you visit, you’ll know why! Join explOregon as we visit this incredible place and take a moderate hike through nature. This is a great opportunity to take of photos of the beautiful scenery!
