Fort Worden and Port Townsend

Fort Worden State Park Conference Center

The 2014 EVO-WIBO meeting will be held at the Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, Washington. This Washington state park is right on Puget Sound on the Olympic Peninsula, with a small marine science center, a nice beach, and many recreation opportunities nearby.

We have reserved several wings of their dormitories; these rooms consist of either one or two single beds with shared bathrooms in each wing. Meals will be held in the dining hall facility very near our meeting rooms. Registration for the meeting includes two nights of accommodation, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration also includes all meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning, as well as snacks at several coffee breaks and refreshments at evening social events. Fort Worden dormitories provide bedding (pillow, sheet, blanket, pillow case), bath towels, soap, cup, and personal shower mat.

Directions to Fort Worden are available at the park’s web-site here. For many of us in the region, the most efficient travel to the area requires a short ferry ride across Puget Sound. Check the ferry schedules to time your arrival. Registration and a welcome reception will take place Friday night.

The meeting will run from Friday the 25th through midday on Sunday the 27th, with accommodation provided Friday and Saturday nights.
