Serena Lim is a graduate student earning her masters in Architecture at the University of Oregon, and a former Graduate Research Fellow at the Energy Studies in Buildings Lab. As a Research Fellow, Serena focused on human visual comfort and the development and testing of a glare mitigation tool. As an assistant, Serena supports the lab through graphic/web design, and leads a team of students focused on lab improvement projects. Before coming to UO, Serena earned a Liberal Arts degree with a focus on interdisciplinary visual arts from the Evergreen State College in 2008, and then lived and worked in the East Bay Area for several years. Her background in visual arts and the humanities supports her passion for sustainable design, and she plans to integrate research-based design into her professional career.
