Bard on the Butte takes place on top of Skinner’s Butte and just finished up a eight show run. This was the first year of doing a Shakespeare production on Skinner’s and they hope to do it again next year.  I went to their show and was amazed at the way the actors were able to use the land around them to their advantage rather than using a typical stage with many set changes. It might be a stretch to include this entry in the archive, but I thought that it was a cool way to see people locally mixing art and nature together to pull off a show. I think they’ll be preforming the Tempest next summer!
