The purpose of my topic is to compare two unrelated mediums and show the parts of our world where things overlap.

The questions that my create display addresses about a social problem is the sudden growth of flowers in death valley.

The questions my creative project answer about my selected area of science is the topic of Mt. St. Helens and how the plants that were naturally grown in the volcanic ash grew stronger than the plants that were planted by the volunteers. The area of art my project addresses is the artist G. Brad Lewis who photographs volcanos in Hawaii.

The visual impact i hope my project has on other people is that they can themselves realize the beauty of the natural world through my visual representation and get a better understanding of the basic ideas behind volcanic and floral “explosions”.

SCHEDULE:
By the end of this week i will have completed all my research and I will have a fully functioning website and possible visual display. The reason i say possible is because I am not sure when I am going to be able to get to the store to create this object and I am not sure if the floral volcano is necessary to the completion of my project and I do not think it will drastically change peoples opinions on my work.

Literal representation of art and science being connected.
