Journal #11
On Thursday I got to present my project ideas to my class and I gained so much new perspective on what I should fix on my project and some new things to explore. I am especially thankful for the presentation of my project because I have finally picked my topic! The topic i have decided to further explore is growth. I am going to combine two of my topics volcanos and hydrangeas and compare and contrast the different definitions these two forms of nature take on. I would not have come up with this idea on my own and i kind of owe some of my success to Mara Elise who helped me connect these two ideas of mine into forming something new and improved.
My biggest weakness with my project before the presentation was what my topic was and after this Thursday my new problem is what my visual display will be for this new topic. I am going to further brainstorm this week and I am hopeful that it will result in a great idea! I also think my biggest challenge this week will be completing report #3. Unlike most of the kids in our class I have just recently picked my topic and everyone else has had more time to find scientist/artists who relate to their topics but for me this is all new information for me. I am not that worried I am pretty good at catching up to other peoples work (especially if there is a due date).
I am very excited to see what my final product and everyone else’s final projects will look like. People in our class seem to be very creative! This is going to be an excellent end to our ten weeks together!
P.S.
Thank you for the pizza party it was so enjoyable to be able to learn more about both of you and also get to talk to my class mates outside of a class setting and pizza is a wonderful thing as well!
