I think that my image is definitely an expression of art. It uses artistic interpretation, selective image choices, and unique spacing to create an image with visual interest. The common theme of all five images is the use of color in unique ways. The hands at the bottom catch and interpret all the images, or “works,” above the white section and combine them into a “result” or the hands. For example as Dissanayake writes, “To think of art as a behavior of making special is truly a change of paradigm. Usually art refers to objects – paintings, pictures, dances, musical compositions, works of art that are the result of artistic behavior” (24).
