Woman #1:
I see a Caucasian woman with brown hair in Allen Hall on her computer. She has headphones in her ears and I can presume she is listening to music. She is wearing athletic clothes, so I can gather that she is active and goes to the gym often. She is wearing Nike Free running shoes that are in good condition, which I believe indicates she most likely comes from a stable background. She also has on a silver bracelet, supporting my previous claim that she appears to be supported or potentially works to support herself. I think these assumptions I make are also based on my own personal choices. I also wear exercise clothes a lot because I often go to the gym and am conscious about maintaining my health. I also can imagine that the woman is potentially studying for a class while in Allen, something that I do on a regular basis.
Man #1:
I see a tall Caucasian man with blond hair walking on 13th street in a sweatshirt with Greek letters on it with shorts and Sperry Top-Siders. I believe as indicated by the sweatshirt that this man is in a fraternity on campus. I also would presume that this is a trend conscious man, due to his shoe choice. Additionally, he walks with a bravado that I can carry out is based on his social status, or what he presumes it is. I think he seems to be someone that is well liked and knows many individuals on campus, due to how many people he waved at on his walk down 13th street. On top of that he is wearing a snapback hat backwards on his head. Clearly, he wants to give off energy that he is carefree. Also, he walked down the street with other men also dressed in similar attire and other t-shirts that shared the same Greek letters.
Man #2:
I saw an Asian man standing on the street outside of campus smoking a cigarette. He was wearing very trendy clothes. I felt they were very flashy with a black leather jacket and tailored white pants, along with Ray Ban sunglasses. After he finished his cigarette, he walked over to his glossy white Mercedes sedan and unlocked it. It is clear that this is a man of great means. He is wearing all designer clothes from what I could tell, drives a luxury car, and seems to have a lack of concern for his health due to the cigarette he smoked. He seemed to be in his early 20s, probably a junior or senior. He was standing with some friends of his and they all spoke in Japanese to each other. From this I could presume that they are either international students or from the U.S. but able to speak multiple languages.
It is very common to smoke in Japan, which might be why the second man you saw was smoking. If he has nice clothing and a fancy car, odds are that he is an exchange student. Do you think that he met the other Japanese students once he came here, or did he know them before? Did his clothes look like they were from here, or did they appear to be brought here from Japan? Trends and fashions in clothing are very different in each culture.
The woman you saw studying in Allen Hall seems like something most of us see every day. Usually people studying alone have headphones in, either for music or to make the room quieter. The fact that she was wearing exercise clothing also means that she may have just come from somewhere else. It could also be that some exercise clothing is really comfortable. Either way, it isn’t cheap, so you might be right when you assume she is doing well for herself.
