Meet the New Social Media Chair – Halley Perry!

Halley Perry PictureComing from the “Big Sky” country of Bozeman, Montana, Halley Perry is a first year Arts Management student concentrating in Museum Studies. She studied at Montana State University and received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Art History with two minors in Museum Studies and Business Administration. There have been many projects that Halley has been a part of over the years. Some of the positions she has held are Co-Chair of Children Activities for the annual Sweet Pea Festival, Founder of the first Art History Society at Montana State, Member in Toastmasters, Collection Intern at Charles Bair Family Museum, and Student Intern for Development at the Museum of the Rockies. Recently, she has represented the First Year Co-hort in Student Advisory Group (SAG) for the Arts and Administration Program and now holds the position for Social Media Chair for ELAN. You can find her in the Professional Outreach and Development for Students (PODS) office working as a database developer or the College of Arts and Science Dean’s office as a student worker.

One aspect of ELAN that she is excited about is to connect students and the art community in Eugene. She hopes to increase participation and engagement from all types of majors interested in art world. She hopes to work in a Museum either focusing on educational programs or exhibit designs.

Eugene has been a home away from home for Halley, her husband Blaine, and son Danny. When she does have spare time, it is spent with her family by going to the ocean, museums, and all the other great events around Eugene. She can’t wait to get started as the Social Media Chair and to get to know all the students around campus.
