Toward Agreement: The Art of Negotiation and Setting Fees

KassiaDellabough_047We are excited to present a two-part workshop led by Kassia Dellabough, Director of the Office of Professional Outreach & Development for Students (PODS) and Instructor in the Arts & Administration, University of Oregon. This workshop will take place on Friday, February 6th from 12-2pm at Lawrence Hall, Room 249 (5230 University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403). Come to either or both sessions covering:

Negotiation Skills (12:00pm): Understand how to create a framework for successful negotiations, whether it be in work or personal settings. We will explore ways to dialogue and explore options that create mutual resolution and agreement rather than foster conflict. These include understanding the other’s position, needs and bottom line as well as clarifying your own parameters. There will be opportunities to demonstrate scenarios and puzzle over specific audience-posed negotiations.

Setting Fees (1:00pm): If you have ever considered becoming a self-employed consultant or starting up a business as a sole proprietor, this session will go through the process of setting accurate and fair fees for your services. This is an interactive session that will provide you with tools to take the next step.

This workshop is open to all undergraduate and graduate students at University of Oregon as well as community members. Light refreshments will be provided.

  1. Hi, this looks great!

I wonder if you plan to video record the workshop, or if it would be possible to dial in remotely, via Skype or some other means?

    Thank you,
    Bryan Hadley
