Meet Britt Maruska, ELAN’s new Financial Chair!

ELAN is pleased introduce Brittney Maruska, our Leadership team’s new Financial Chair for the 2012/2013 academic year!

From Bellingham, Washington,  Britt Maruska graduated from Western Washington University with degrees in both Anthropology and Economics. She has experience in the field of Human Services and a passion for culture and community engagement.  Britt brings a strong financial and budgeting background and a love for event planning to the ELAN team this year.

Britt entered the field of Arts Administration by interning at the Whatcom Museum. While at the University of Oregon she worked as a Student Athlete Tutor and completed her practicum at the Lane County Historical Museum. Additionally, Britt was on the leadership team for the objects-based exhibit What We Carry and she served on the planning committee for the ELAN’s 2012 Beats and Brushstrokes. For her summer’s graduate internship, she interned in the programming department at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. Britt is an advocate for providing equal access to arts and culture through museums, is really into Orca Whales, and has an undying love for the Pacific Northwest.  Welcome, Britt!
