We are 5 students from the University of Oregon who are working hard to build a computer science curriculum for all teachers to use. We believe that it is important for all students to learn why the idea of computational thinking is so important. To do this, we will be developing 3 lesson plans that will teach students about problem-solving, finding multiple algorithms to solve a single problem, and how to use basic scratch coding. By the end of this journey, we hope to make a curriculum that will teach a group of students to work as a team and use Edison Robots to accomplish one task in multiple different ways. On top of this, all of what is being taught will align with the “Teacher Association Standards” (2017), 1B-AP-08.
