CFP: Digital Scholarship Services Open Textbook Publishing
The University of Oregon Libraries is committed to supporting the adoption and use of free, openly licensed textbooks, especially for high-impact courses, such as those that currently have high-cost textbooks ($60+), high enrollment, and/or high DFW rates.
To support faculty in their efforts to adopt open textbooks and save students money at the University of Oregon, Digital Scholarship Services is excited to announce an Open Textbook Publishing Award program for UO faculty interested in revising an existing open textbook or authoring a new open textbook for use in their teaching.
Awards will depend on the length and complexity of the project, but faculty can receive $2,000 – $6,000 for their open textbook project. See the Award Program Requirements for award funding breakdown.
Our current call for proposals is open and will close on January 31, 2020.
