Graduate School of University of Oregon with many other departments will be hosting a graduate conference “Ideologies of Convenience: Cynicism and Irony” to explores the complexities of cynical and ironic thinking and their productions. Because of both cynicism and irony’s manifold prevalence, the conference is open to many different fields of interest, from the study of literature and philosophy, to questions of societal behavior, environmental agency, popular culture, journalism, politics, and media.

The event will be free and open to the public on 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on February 13th, 2020 and 9:00 am to 5 pm on February 14th, 2020 at University of Oregon Knight Library – DREAM Lab (Room 122).
