Deadline January 31st, 2020

Are you a University of Oregon faculty member who wants to support affordable education for their students? Have you ever wanted to create a textbook that students don’t need to purchase and is free to access and download without restrictions?

To support faculty in their efforts to adopt open textbooks and save students money at the University of Oregon, Digital Scholarship Services is excited to announce an Open Textbook Publishing Award program for UO faculty interested in revising an existing open textbook or authoring a new open textbook for use in their teaching.

Awards will depend on the length and complexity of the project, but faculty can receive $2,000 – $6,000 for their open textbook project. See the Award Program Requirements for award funding breakdown. To learn more about the CFP visit the DREAM Lab’s funding page!  You can also reach out to with questions.
