GISday Open House: Wednesday, November 13

by | Nov 1, 2019 | Events

The University of Oregon will celebrate GIS Day by hosting an open house in the Knight Library DREAM Lab. All are invited to learn how geographic information system (GIS) technology supports your everyday life.

GIS professionals representing private and government sectors will be in attendance for networking and information sharing. A keynote talk by Rafa Gutierrez from Mapbox will begin at 2 p.m. Come before or stay after to discover drone technology, print and interactive maps, and GIS survey equipment. Dig your hands into the augmented reality sandbox or try to navigate using tactile maps.

We join hundreds of organizations worldwide in hosting gatherings that will serve to ignite the imagination of future innovators who will advance global progress using GIS.

Contact Joanna Merson for more information.

Accommodations for people with disabilities will be provided if requested in advance by calling 541-346-3056, or emailing libadmin@uoregon.edu
