NOTE: These are extracurricular workshop notes for students who are interested in Phoenix. At the time of writing this document, Phoenix is installed in the LA 383 classroom and is being install in the LA 283 computer lab. It’s not installed on the virtual computer system at UO.
The notes for this workshop are deferred to a tutorial provided by Chaos, the software development company that licenses Phoenix. Its tutorials are available free at this web site:

- Activation
To activate the Phoenix plugin within Maya, go the the menu item “Windows>Setting/Preferences and select the checkbox to “on” for the Phoenix plugin.
2. The most effective introductory tutorial is likely the Basic Liquid one published by Chaos Group at the this address:

These tutorials come with written step by step instructions and downloadable file assets.
