  • Arcuate: Veins curve at ends as they approach the leaf margin.

  • 3-Veined from base of leaf: Three distinct and prominent veins originating from one common point at base of leaf.

  • Palmate: Multilple distinct, prominent veins orignating from a common point at the base of the leaf, often found in palmately-lobed leaves.

  • Pinnate: Mulitple veins occur along a single main vein.

  • Penniveined: Veins protrude from the plane of the leaf. If you run your fingers over the leaf, you can feel the distinct ribs of the veins.
