Getting my black velvet box

24 hours. Act what you say. Give up good for great. What’s my why…

Today’s class was a complete eye-opener, to say the least. I don’t know if it was the way Devin spoke to us or the depth of the material he was speaking. It’s something so simple once you think about it but it’s also overlooked the most.

In the end, we have very few things that will continue to tell our story after we’ve died and gone on; property and money, our families and the legacies we’ve left behind. All of which that are affected by how we work and how we touched those around us. What I grew to learn yesterday was that, my why should affect everything I do. How I act, my perceptions on things, and how I work.

I should demonstrate my why in all of my actions. I should use my 86,400 seconds of the every day to it’s utmost potential and become what I want to be. There’s a saying that people say, “be the change you want to see,” what if I changed that to “become the success you want to see.” Make your success a goal, not a dream. Goals are something you set to happen, but dreams are only aspirations in hopes of coming true… (Yes, I stole that line from Left Eye of TLC). But it fits. Lawlz. I’m starting to see a new growth in myself and I like it. It’s about time I started acting what I say more.
