William Riley “Tex” Matsler Memorial Scholarship in Landscape Architecture

Mark W. Matsler and his wife, Barb A. Kralj, established this scholarship in 2006 to honor Mark’s father, William Riley “Tex” Matsler, BLArch ’46, MS ’62 (health, physical ed., and recreation). This scholarship supports the recruitment and retention of undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Landscape Architecture, with preference to students who have a demonstrated interest in parks, recreation and open-space planning and design. The scholarship may also be used to support formalized exchange and summer study programs in landscape architecture abroad and in the U.S.
