WHY I CAME TO THE UO AND HOW I CHOSE MY MAJOR
I chose the University of Oregon because of its unique eco-region. I have found the culture in the Landscape Architecture department to be supportive and welcoming.

I chose to pursue a masters degree in landscape architecture because this field unifies many of my disparate interests with the possibility of being useful in a time of ecological collapse.

UNIQUE QUALITIES I BRING TO MY STUDIES
Working in a retail nursery setting prior to enrolling in this degree has given me an appreciation for the various different ways people develop relationships with their surrounding environment, especially landscape.

MY INFLUENTIAL PROFESSORS
Ignacio Lopez Buson has been an especially influential teacher for me. He has managed to teach various new computer programs in a way that felt relevant and useful to my education.

MY EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am involved in the D.E.I committee because I want to integrate an equity focus into all aspects of my career going forward

MY GREATEST LEARNING EXPERIENCE AT UO
My greatest learning experience has been collaborating with my peers and finding new ways to think about things through friendly discussion and debate.

AFTER GRADUATION
I hope to use my College of Design education to create more equitable public space.
